At the end of Venezia-Udinese, Day 10 of the Serie A Enilive 2024/25 championship, which finished with the result of 3-2, Venezia coach Eusebio Di Francesco, Giorgio Altare and Joel Pohjanpalo alyzed the match as follows.
Eusebio Di Francesco:
"I expected some initial difficulties, considering that Udinese had played 48 hours before us and had greater freshness. At the beginning of the game, we were too slow and predictable and weren’t attacking the depth, so I decided to make some tactical changes, bringing on fresh players who gave new energy to the team. This victory gives us confidence in the work we are doing. I always tell the players that hard work, over time, pays off, and they know that with this mentality we will achieve great satisfaction. No one would have bet on us when we were two goals down, but this shows that sometimes a spark is enough to change a game. We deserved this victory because we believed in the possibility of coming back without ever losing focus. With this spirit, we will definitely give many teams a hard time."
Giorgio Altare:
"It was a very physical game, and at the beginning we encountered some difficulties. However, thanks to the work done in training and by maintaining positivity, grit, and enthusiasm, we managed to win this game, which gives us a lot of confidence. We need to keep believing in the work we are doing and in the coach's instructions, always bringing aggressiveness, passion, and positivity to the field. This must be our DNA."
Joel Pohjanpalo:
"It was an extraordinary team victory, the result of a great mentality. It was crucial to win at home, in front of this fantastic crowd, and we managed to do it. Taking a penalty is a matter of mentality: against Genoa, the goalkeeper did well, but today I took two penalties in moments of high pressure, and I’m happy to have scored both. A goal can really make the difference, and as captain, I have the responsibility to transmit confidence and the belief that we can change the course of the game to the group. This was an important victory, and now we absolutely need to continue on this path."
