Venezia FC retires Marco Modolo’s number 13 jersey

On Saturday, april 12th, during the Venezia-Monza match, Venezia FC will experience a historic and emotional moment: the retirement of the number 13 jersey, proudly worn by Marco Modolo, who is now part of the club's technical staff.

Marco Modolo represents much more than just a player in the history of Venezia FC.
Having grown up in the arancioneroverde youth academy, he has shown unconditional love for these colors and a dedication that led him to play 273 matches and score 27 goals, making him a true symbol of the club. However, numbers alone cannot capture what he has meant to the team and its fans.

His leadership and spirit of sacrifice were fundamental in guiding Venezia FC through an extraordinary journey: from Serie D to Serie A, with four promotions, including two historic leaps from Serie B to the top division and the Lega Pro Italian Cup. At every stage of this journey, Marco was the team's cornerstone, embodying the club’s values with pride and passion.
