Venezia FC: Ownership group reaffirms long-term commitment and vision

The Operating Committee (OpCo) of the Venezia FC Ownership Group firmly reiterates its ongoing commitment to ensure the club’s long-term growth, sporting success and financial stability. The OpCo will continue to support Sporting Director Filippo Antonelli and the technical staff in their efforts to help the team achieve its objectives this season and beyond.

The recent performances of Venezia FC have not met the expectations of the fans and the Ownership Group, team and staff share our supporters’ disappointment. Despite the challenges the club has faced so far this season, there are 12 matches to play and everyone at Venezia FC will fight to retain our Serie A status. The ownership remains fully committed to building a competitive club that establishes itself in Serie A, following a sustainable approach that emphasizes financial stability.

As previously stated, Venezia FC S.p.A. is controlled by a consortium of investors, with no single shareholder owning more than 15%. The Ownership Group is represented by the Operating Committee which collectively governs the club in partnership with the executive management team in Venice. The OpCo members have expertise across sporting, commercial, infrastructure, and financial areas that reinforce strategic decision-making and planning. The coordinated efforts of the OpCo members serve as a source of strength and stability for the club.

The OpCo believes that a strong executive management team in Venice is critical to the team’s success and is committed to further develop Venezia FC’s leadership team in the near term. Filippo Antonelli’s approach to the sporting project illustrates the impact of a strong leader with a clear vision and he has the full support of the OpCo.

In the last twelve months, the Ownership Group has worked as a collective to emphasise financial stability and discipline, while supporting Venezia FC with investment of approximately €75 million. The development of the Ca’ Venezia training center is a testament to the club’s ambitious growth strategy and long term vision. Looking ahead, Venezia FC is positioned to capitalize on significant opportunities, generating resources for further reinvestment in the club’s future.

The Venezia FC Operating Committee recognizes the challenges and frustrations with the current situation, while remaining optimistic and ambitious about the opportunities for growth on the horizon. Everyone at Venezia FC will do their best to achieve positive results in the remaining matches this season, while planning for the long term.
