July 18, 2024

Venice, July 18, 2024 - Venezia FC, a club competing in Serie A, is proud to announce Cynar Spritz as the Main Partner for the 2024/25 season. Through this partnership, Venezia FC and Cynar Spritz aim to create a virtuous synergy that is deeply connected to their region.

Created in Veneto in 1950 by Angelo Dalle Molle, a distinguished Mestre entrepreneur and philanthropist, Cynar Spritz is renowned for its versatility and unmistakable taste, made unique by the presence of artichoke as a distinctive ingredient.

Cynar Spritz will appear on the First Team’s official jerseys starting from the first regular season match day scheduled for Sunday, August 18 at 8:45 PM at the Stadio Olimpico against Lazio.

The partnership includes brand visibility for Cynar Spritz at the Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo, as well as other communication activities and an event dedicated to fans, whose details will be announced soon.

Filippo Antonelli, Sporting Director & General Manager Venezia FC
“It is a great moment for our club to announce the collaboration with such an iconic brand as Cynar Spritz, part of a large multinational company like Gruppo Campari.

This partnership, whose idea was born even before the promotion to Serie A, unites two realities that have common values and visions and represents an important step in the club's growth path. Venezia FC is very important for Venetians and the territory, but it also has an international scope, exactly as the city we represent. Cynar Spritz, with its history rooted in the Veneto and its unique spirit, perfectly represents these ideals.

Cynar Spritz will be our Main Partner and will appear on the front of our jerseys starting on the first day of Serie A 2024-25 in a stage as important as the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on the evening of August 18.”

Alberto Ponchio, Marketing Director Campari Group
“I’m proud to present the new partnership between Cynar Spritz and Venezia FC. Two organisations that have always succeeded in turning the past and their history into a starting point for an authentic springboard into the future. The 2024/25 season will be a period packed with initiatives to emphasise our shared values and goals.”

About Cynar
Cynar, the artichoke extract aperitif - sharp on the outside but with a tender heart, and world famous for its irreverence - comes from the talent of Angelo Dalle Molle, businessman and philanthropist from Mestre. He created the recipe for this liqueur, which is renowned for its versatility, in Padua in 1950.
The name comes from Cynar scolymus, the botanical name for the artichoke, the particular, distinctive ingredient of a recipe that is still a jealously guarded secret. Based on several natural substances found in the artichoke, including cynarine, the unmistakable flavour comes from the infusion of 13 plants and herbs. Since then, the brand has continued to grow and now it is sold all over the world. A contributing factor to its popularity in Italy was the TV advertising show Carosello in 1967, which starred actor Ernesto Calindri and the unforgettable slogan “Against the strain of modern life”. It has been a brand of the Campari Group since 1995.
Thanks to its characteristic refreshing and bitter-sweet taste, its herbal notes and moderate alcohol content (16.5%), as well as being a bitter, Cynar is also now Cynar Spritz, with prosecco and soda. A vintage-cool idea, a new tradition that represents an unconventional choice in the Spritz category. Something for those who want to try something new, to stand out from the crowd.
