At the end of the Venezia FC-AC Milan match, valid for Matchday 34 of the 2024/25 Serie A Enilive season and which ended with a 0-2 result, the arancioneroverde coach Eusebio Di Francesco and striker John Yeboah analyzed the game.
Eusebio Di Francesco:
"We were naïve on the first goal, but the team reacted very well. It's a pity we didn't capitalize on some of the chances we created.
We cannot avoid talking about the controversial penalty episode that was not awarded for Pavlovic’s foul on Yeboah; at this point in the season, these incidents make a difference. Referee decisions must be consistent; Milan does not need this kind of help.
In everything we do, the team is giving its all. There are four matches left, and we must try to get as many positive results as possible. We're still in it, and it's a shame, considering the effort we showed by putting a team like Milan in difficulty."
John Yeboah:
"I think we played a great match against a truly top-level opponent. In games like these, you can't afford any mistakes, and maybe we should have been more careful with the two chances we allowed Milan.
Anyone who watched today’s match surely understood the value of our team and how much we believe in reaching our goal. We're playing well and must continue to push as hard as possible over the last four matches.
We had several chances to equalize — it's a pity about the disallowed goal and the non-awarded penalty, which, in my opinion, was quite clear.
Throughout this season, I’ve experienced different moments; I just needed one goal to turn my season around, and it finally came in Empoli. Today, I think I played one of the best matches of my professional career."
