On the eve of the Day 6 of Serie B 2023/24, when Venezia will face Brescia at the Mario Rigamonti stadium tomorrow at 14:00 CEST, the arancioneroverdi coach Paolo Vanoli analyzed the team's situation and the opponent.
“Fortunately, the team is doing well, Candela is back in the group and we hope to have the guys who are recovering from longer injuries as soon as possible. Facing Brescia will not be easy because they are a tough, determined and compact team. We noticed the good things they did in their first two games, it showed what a team they are. The fact that we are playing behind closed doors will weigh, we have to find within ourselves the stimuli to give a good performance. There will certainly be suffering and we have to be as good as in the last few outings in this aspect, it will be an important test.
Definitely we still have to improve the quality of our plays and the reading of certain situations within the games. The identity of a team does not depend so much on men but on the basic idea of play, then clearly each player has his specific characteristics and my choices also depend on this.
We still have to find the right patience to manage certain moments within the match and regain that fluidity of play that we had at the end of last season. I told the boys that in my opinion a strong team must be able to adapt to every situation. During the week we also worked because of the two games in four days but we are completely focused on Brescia then at the final whistle we will think about Tuesday's game."
