TWO DAYS UNTIL THE NEXT MATCH: COACH DI FRANCESCO'S PRE-MATCH PRESS CONFERENCE

January 25, 2025

With just two days to go until the next league match, where Venezia will face Hellas Verona at the "Penzo" Stadium on Monday at 6:30 PM, arancioneroverde coach Eusebio Di Francesco analyzed the team's current form and the upcoming opponent in a press conference.

"We are aware that the transfer market can impact the team's balance, but we must stay focused. I have received positive responses during the preparation for this derby, which is crucial both in terms of results and morale. I have seen great professionalism from the players, and I am confident—the team has shown unity, and our focus is now entirely on Verona. Pohjanpalo has demonstrated his full concentration on the match against Verona. I have received positive feedback from him and the team in every aspect."

Looking back at last week's match against Parma, Di Francesco highlighted:
"Considering the challenges we faced due to numerous absences, we still managed to put in an important performance. We conceded an avoidable goal and weren’t clinical enough in some scoring opportunities. Additionally, we allowed too many long-range shots and, at times, lacked a bit of quality in our build-up play. However, overall, the team performed well."

Finally, analyzing Monday's opponent, the coach stated:
"Verona has always performed well away from home, thanks to their ability to attack vertically and the quality of their players, who can be very dangerous when given space. We need to be smart and avoid conceding counterattacks while maintaining full focus for the entire 90 minutes."
