Venezia FC is pleased to announce the signing of French striker Thomas Henry, 26, from OH Leuven of Belgium’s Jupiler Pro League.
Henry scored a career-high 21 goals in the Jupiler Pro League last season — second-most in the league — and he had scored three goals in the first four weeks of the ongoing season before completing the move to Venice. In total, Henry scored 45 goals and added 12 assists in 79 matches across all competitions with OH Leuven over the last three-and-a-half seasons.
Henry joined OH Leuven in January 2019 after impressing with Tubize in the Belgian second division, scoring 11 goals in the first half of the 2018/19 season.
Henry began his career in France with Beauvais and Fréjus Saint-Raphaël, and earned a move to Ligue 1 with Nantes in 2015. He spent one season with Nantes, and then left for Chambly, where he spent two seasons, before ultimately moving to Belgium.
Welcome, Thomas.
