“Taking the decision to come to Venice was easy. From the very first days of the transfer window I immediately felt the strong interest of the club and the trust of the Director, and I accepted without thinking twice. My first impressions with the team are very positive; right away I noticed the great professionalism of the staff, and I train in a state-of-the-art facility. The fans are incredible, seeing them cheer at the Penzo is a unique emotion.
This year will be an intense season. Serie B is always a very competitive league where no team can be underestimated. In these first matches I’ve made myself available to the coach, trying to give 100% in training so that I can earn the big opportunity to officially make my debut in the arancioneroverde shirt.
I can play both as a winger and as a second striker. I like to take on defenders one-on-one and try to beat them to create a numerical advantage in attack. In last Friday’s friendly in Vienna, I played in a more advanced position, closer to goal, and that’s also a role in which I can be useful to the team.
In training, Stroppa works a lot on the tactical side, and over these weeks I’ve been learning a lot about his style of play. In recent years I’ve adapted myself a lot to the strategic choices of the coaches; I’m used to putting myself completely at the service of whoever leads the team, in order to give my best once on the pitch.
I grew up in Juventus’ youth academy. It was an important period for me to grow both personally and as a footballer. I have wonderful memories of those years, especially the six months spent with Cristiano Ronaldo, my idol since childhood.”
