Ahead of matchday 34 of the 2024/25 Serie A Enilive season, which will see Venezia face Milan at the “Pier Luigi Penzo” Stadium on Sunday at 12:30 PM, the arancioneroverde coach Eusebio Di Francesco analyzed the team’s current form and their upcoming opponent.

“I’m convinced that Milan is trying to build consistency in their performances. They’ve changed their system of play, becoming more unpredictable, especially in their so-called ‘offensive surges’. That said, we have to stay focused on ourselves: on our match preparation, on the attitude and determination with which we’ll face the Rossoneri, who are a great team. Offensively, Milan is the most dangerous team in the league, the one that creates the highest number of scoring chances. They have an attacking unit full of options and alternatives, and we’ll need to do well to contain them.
Against Empoli, we showed character, managing to turn the game around and take the lead. Of course, we could have been more attentive afterward, but that match is now in the past. Now we have to focus solely on Sunday’s match because it will be a tough challenge.
I sense a strong desire from everyone in the club, not just the team, to reach our ultimate goal. As I’ve said before, a sort of ‘mini tournament’ has begun for us, and two matches ago, we were five points behind: today, we’re just one point away from Lecce. I’d also like to take this opportunity to send my condolences to the family of Graziano Fiorita, an extraordinary person with whom I was lucky enough to work.
