“I’m satisfied with the team’s performance today. It looked very similar to our home match against Pescara: in the first half we created many scoring chances. I think all the performances we’ve put in have been excellent. Yesterday I spoke about being in love with my team, and I believe that coming to watch Venezia at the stadium is a positive emotion. Of course we play for the result, but I think this ability of the team to entertain and enjoy themselves is something wonderful. We play to create separation and numerical superiority, to open up spaces and take away reference points from the opponents. Everything can always be improved; for example, in the first half today our midfielders and wingers were too high up the pitch and we lost a few too many balls when building from the back. We continue to focus on ourselves, to think game by game and to collect as many points as possible. Then we’ll do the final calculations on May 9.”

“I’m happy about tonight’s goal. Once I received the ball from Doumbia, space opened up for the shot and I managed to find the corner. I feel very good in this team; we have a great locker room and we’re almost like a family. There’s great chemistry with coach Stroppa. I like his interpretation of football, and I think that shows on the pitch when we play our game. At this stage of the season I feel very good: so far I’ve scored 1 goal and provided 5 assists, and I feel useful to the team.”
