The post-match of Catanzaro - Venezia FC

November 2, 2025

At the end of the match between Catanzaro and Venezia FC, valid for the 11th round of Serie BKT and concluded with a 2–1 victory for the home team, coach Giovanni Stroppa and defender Michael Svoboda shared their post-match thoughts.

Giovanni Stroppa, Venezia FC head coach:
It’s frustrating to leave the pitch after a performance like that and have to comment on a defeat. I take full responsibility for this result. Catanzaro played their game, they were more cautious in the first half and a bit more proactive in the second. As usual, we had our chances, but we didn’t take advantage of them. We all need to do better—starting with me—because this is a situation that’s been repeating itself too many times in recent matches.”

Michael Svoboda, Venezia FC defender:
Even though we play good football, we’re not able to make the most of the chances we create. We can’t seem to maintain 100% focus in every play, and we definitely need to improve on that, starting next week when we face Sampdoria. I still have full confidence in this team—we’re just missing the final details, and we all need to keep working hard.”
