The post-match of Avellino - Venezia FC

December 8, 2025

At the end of the match between Avellino and Venezia FC, valid for matchday 15 of Serie BKT and ending in a 1–1 draw, coach Giovanni Stroppa and defender Michael Svoboda analyzed the game as follows.

Giovanni Stroppa, Venezia FC head coach.
It's a pity we didn’t take all three points tonight. We put in a more than positive performance, but if you can’t score, it’s hard to win. We reacted well after conceding; their goalkeeper was by far their best player. The goal we conceded right before halftime came from the only chance we had given them up to that point. However, the team didn’t lose heart and kept pushing. We have to continue like this — that’s what I told the players in the locker room at halftime. I’m satisfied with the team’s performance tonight. The season is long, so let’s keep going.”

Michael Svoboda, Venezia FC defender.
We played a good game today. Of course, we can improve a few details — for example, in the defensive phase on the goal we conceded — but overall the performance was there. In ten minutes we hit the crossbar twice; luck wasn’t on our side today, and on top of that, their goalkeeper was the best player on the pitch. We go home with a point that could have been three. I’m happy about the goal I scored. Before the match, we knew it would be a tough away game, but I have to say we faced it with the right attitude.”
