Tessmann: "Everyone is making their contribution to the team"

November 29, 2023

This morning, American midfielder Tanner Tessmann spoke at the press conferenze in VFC headquarter Ca’ Venezia:

"I feel good, our staff always prepares us to be at our best in every game. The key is to work hard every day and believe in what you are doing. We are definitely doing very well as a team, everyone is contributing and we want to continue like this. In the midfield we are all great players, even those who are not starting, every day we put a lot of energy and grit into our training to reach a higher and higher level. Mister Vanoli and his staff since they arrived have done a great job, we players have pushed hard and always worked at 100%. The standings don't matter to us, we have to think from game to game and in the end we will see where we will be. We look forward to taking the field in front of our fans who have been fundamental in these months for us. Ascoli is a dangerous team to face, they want to win to move up the standings and it will not be at all easy to face them.

To have worn the captain's armband with my national team was a great honor for me, I hope in the next call-up that I can continue to contribute and be able to play in the Olympics with the United States jersey. Busio and I get along very well together, we help and push each other every day and then give our best in the game. The fact that so many different players are scoring is a very good thing but of course we want our forwards to score and make us win games, the important thing however is the good of the team.“
