“I’d like to take a minute to address the rumors in the press earlier this week. It is a period when only a few teams are still playing, and rumors often arise during these periods.

We have one goal until 2 June. And we are united in that goal. For now, 100% of our focus is on the present and the chance for promotion.

At the beginning of season, finishing in third place would have been a great result. Only when you are that close to 2nd and don’t make it does third place feel like a disappointment.

But it won’t stop us. It will motivate us. Our team is strong, and our coaching staff is excellent. And we are all resilient.

No one has called us about our coach or any of our players. Maybe some of these rumors are being spread to distract us. But we won’t be distracted.

Maybe they are spread to measure the reactions of another team’s fan base. When you have a successful coach as we do, of course his name will be rumored and floated for other opportunities.

If we rise to Serie A, our plan is to add a few players where we need to and to keep the core of the team together. Our coach and almost every player has a contract through 24-25 or longer. We built it this way so that we could keep the group together if we succeeded.

In Serie B, obviously more is likely to change. We have players and coaches who will be in demand and we will work together to determine the best path for all of us.

To prepare for whatever road we take, we have stabilized the financial situation and worked with FIFA and the big clubs to reconcile all of the amounts owed. We won’t have any problems registering or being active in the Summer market, so we can do what we need to do in either scenario.

But that is all for later.

To repeat, we have only one objective until 2 June. We, our players and our coaches are 100% focused on the present and the chance for promotion. Everything else can wait until the Summer.

The support from the fans is an important motivation for the team, and we hope that we can count on their support in the playoffs. The fans, the team and the society have not been this close for some time – and it has become a source of strength for all of us.
