At the end of Parma-Venezia FC, Day 21 of the Serie A Enilive 2024/25 championship, which finished with the result of 1-1, Venezia coach Eusebio Di Francesco and Hans Nicolussi Caviglia analyzed the match as follows.
Eusebio Di Francesco:
"We came into this match in a true emergency situation, practically without defenders, and for this, I want to compliment the boys because they played a great game.
Preparing for a match under these conditions wasn’t easy, and considering the circumstances, I think the draw is an excellent result. We must build on today’s performance, even though I’m disappointed because we hurt ourselves.
In the first half, we often controlled the game, with Parma only causing us trouble in a few set-piece situations.
In the second half, they improved, but I have to praise the boys for their ability to adapt and their sacrifice on the pitch.”
Hans Nicolussi Caviglia:
"Today we were looking for the win, but I think the draw is still a good result, considering the emergency situation we were in.
We played a good first half, especially in terms of pressing and ball possession. However, in the second half, we dropped too deep, giving Parma space and losing clarity in decision-making in the final 20 meters.
Despite the difficulties, we showed great adaptability in a complex situation. Many of my teammates stepped up by playing in positions different from their usual ones, but I’m convinced that it’s in tough moments that the strength of the group emerges, and today we proved that.
Our fans are always by our side, both at home and away, and their support is a fundamental boost for us. However, from the next home game, we want to try to secure all three points."
