Nicolussi Caviglia: "Here I have the opportunity to express my potential"

This morning, Hans Nicolussi Caviglia spoke at the press conferenze in VFC headquarter Ca’Venezia.

"I integrated very well here in Venice right away, mainly because I found a solid and ambitious club. I had a clear understanding of coach Di Francesco’s tactical ideas; his approach to bold and proactive football was one of the reasons that convinced me to choose the orange-green jersey.

This year, I have the opportunity to express my potential, and I want to put it at the service of the team to achieve our goal, which is to play in Serie A again next year. Additionally, this year I want to become more impactful and responsible on the pitch.

We’ve definitely been playing good football and are on the right path: in recent matches, we've created several scoring chances, we just need to fine-tune our mistakes and pay close attention to the details that make the difference in Serie A. However, I believe we are on the right track, and if we continue working as we are, the results will come.

I feel very comfortable in both a two-man midfield, where I can push forward and even take shots, and in a three-man midfield, where I occupy the deep-lying playmaker position, setting up the play and intercepting the opponent's passing lanes.

Atalanta has a unique style of play, with players who apply constant pressure, forcing you to make quick decisions and be precise in your passing. Finally, on Sunday, we’ll be back playing at home in front of our fans, and with their support, we want to put in a great performance."
