Mikael Egill Ellertsson called up by Iceland’s national team

Venezia FC midfielder Mikael Egill Ellertsson has been called up to the Iceland national team to play in the playoffs to qualify for the UEFA EURO 2024.

Iceland will face Israel in the semifinals on March 21. In case of victory, the final will be played on March 26 against the winner of Ukraine-Bosnia, while in case of defeat Iceland will face the loser in an away friendly match with same date.
