Michael Svoboda extends contract

Venezia FC are pleased to announce a contract extension with Austrian center-back Michael Svoboda through the 2023/24 season.
Svoboda, 22, joined the club last summer from Austrian Bundesliga club WSG Tirol, and, after breaking into the lineup in mid-season, the imposing defender would play a key role in Venezia’s promotion run, ultimately making 19 appearances (10 starts) during the regular season plus four appearances (three starts) during the promotion playoffs.
