Venezia FC is pleased to announce the signing of American midfielder Jack de Vries, 19, on loan from the Philadelphia Union of Major League Soccer. De Vries will join the club’s Primavera side for the 2021/22 season.

Born in the United States, de Vries moved to Belgium and spent three years in the academy of Anderlecht before moving back the States and joining the academy of the Union. In August 2019, the Union signed de Vries to an MLS Homegrown Player contract, the 12th in club history. De Vries made his MLS debut in July 2020, and made a total of four appearances (all as a substitute) in the 2020 MLS season.

At international level, de Vries made two appearances for the United States U-17 national team at the 2019 CONCACAF U-17 Championship.
