Ivan Javorčić relieved of managerial duties

Venezia FC announce that Ivan Javorčić has been relieved of his duties as first team manager, along with staff members Alessandro Gamberini and Alberto Berselli.

Javorčić joined the club in June 2022. Venezia are on nine points with two wins, three draws, and six losses through Giornata 11 of the 2022/23 Serie B season.

Venezia FC president Duncan Niederauer:

“Today we made the decision to relieve our coach of his responsibilities. This was a difficult decision, but one I felt we had to make. The team we have built is too talented to be where we are in the table, and we wanted to give ourselves enough time to correct the situation.

Our team is talented, and I think coach Javorčić did a very good job of making the group quite cohesive. Where I think we have been lacking is in managing our talent and executing game strategies that play to our strengths.

With the talented group we have, I am optimistic that we can dramatically improve our results.

We hope to introduce the new coach in the coming days. In the meantime, our remaining technical staff will prepare the team for the match this weekend in Como.”
