Issa Doumbia: "On the pitch, I want to repay my family's sacrifices"

This morning, Issa Doumbia spoke at the press conferenze in VFC headquarter Ca’Venezia.

Issa Doumbia:
"Here at Venezia, I’ve found a fantastic environment. The club, the coach, and my teammates welcomed me in the best way possible from day one, and I have a great relationship with all of them.
When I got the call from Venezia, I was overjoyed and speechless; it’s not every day that you go from Serie C to Serie A, and for that, I have to thank Director Antonelli for the trust he has shown in me.
The jump in level was significant, and it took me a bit of time to adjust to the pace, intensity, and quality that Serie A demands.
I have a good relationship with the coach, I feel his trust, and I’m ready to play any role on the pitch, always putting myself at his disposal.
Against Roma and Verona, we put in good performances, but we also realized that in Serie A, every small mistake costs you dearly. This is why we must keep working hard, improving, and maintaining consistency in our performance until the end.
Every day, we follow and believe in coach Di Francesco's ideas, training with dedication to grow and improve.
These days, we’re preparing for the match against Atalanta, and we want to bring home points together with our fans.
I owe so much to my family; my parents have always believed in me, standing by me and making great sacrifices so that I never lacked anything. It’s thanks to them that I’m here today, and now I want to repay them by giving my all on the field every day."
