Hasanbegovic on loan to Kallithea FC

Venezia FC can announce the loan of Bosnia youth international striker Mirza Hasanbegovic, 20, to Greek Super League 2 side Kallithea FC.

Born in Stockholm and of Bosnian descent, Hasanbegovic joined Venezia in the summer of 2020 and served as captain of the Primavera side in 2020/21, scoring seven goals in 14 appearances during the season.

Hasanbegovic spent the first half of the ongoing 2021/22 season on loan at Slovenian side ND Gorica — four-time winners of the Prva Liga, who are currently fighting for promotion back to the top flight, sitting top of the table in the second division — where he made 10 substitute appearances with one goal, before being recalled and sent to Athens. Kallithea have won five of their first seven matches in the league, and are nine points back of first place with three games in hand.

Hasanbegovic has 12 total youth caps with Bosnia-Herzegovina from the Under-18 to Under-21 levels, most recently earning an appearance for the Under-21 side in June 2021.
