Venezia FC announce the acquisition of defender Giorgio Altare from Cagliari Calcio, on loan with option right and obligation to buy upon the occurrence of certain conditions.

Raised in the youth sector of AC Milan, Altare, 25 y/o, moved to Genoa in the summer of 2017, with whom he totaled 30 appearances among the ranks of the Primavera team, then went on loan to Feralpisalò in Serie C, with whom he collected 12 appearances, including four in the promotion play-offs. In January 2020 he joined Olbia, where he quickly became one of the starters of the defensive line: in a season and a half, he played 45 matches and scored 3 goals.
In the summer of 2021 he was acquired by Cagliari; in Sardinia he made 53 appearances and scored three goals.
