Venezia FC announces that it has appointed Eusebio Di Francesco as coach of the first team. Di Francesco has signed a two-year contract until the end of the 2025/26 season.

Born in Pescara, Di Francesco has a rich playing career behind him, in which he earned 13 appearances and one goal with Italy's senior national team, winning the Scudetto with Roma and totaling 252 Serie A appearances and 96 Serie B appearances.

Fifty-five years old yet to turn, Di Francesco boasts promotions in Serie B with Pescara and in Serie A with Sassuolo in his coaching career, as well as a historic UEFA Europa League qualification with Sassuolo in the 2015/16 season and a third-place finish with Roma in the 2017/18 season, also reaching the Champions League semifinals 34 years after the last time.
