COACH DI FRANCESCO'S PRE-MATCH PRESS CONFERENCE

Ahead of the upcoming league match, in which Venezia will face Genoa at the "Ferraris" Stadium on Monday at 20:45, the arancioneroverde coach Eusebio Di Francesco analyzed the team's current form and their opponent in a press conference.

"In these past days, I have seen a determined team, with a strong desire to reclaim what we have left behind. Against Genoa, it will be an important but challenging match because we are facing a team that turns their stadium into a real fortress, making it difficult to conquer. Moreover, they have an experienced squad, with excellent defenders who are also very dangerous on set pieces.

My players show an enormous desire every day to do well for Venezia, and this is something very important to me. They always train with maximum commitment and great dedication. From now until the end of the season, we must remain positive and constructive.

We are chasing, but I have asked the team to be bolder because, in recent matches, we have lacked that extra bit of courage. We have always maintained balance and order on the field, but when the opportunity arises to strike offensively, we must do so without hesitation. We need to give that little extra to make a difference: the players are aware of this, and I see them highly motivated.

Monday will be a demanding and far from easy match, also because our opponents know that we still have a lot to give and that we still have that fire inside us.

Idzes is our captain; he was chosen for his knowledge of the game and for how he leads both in matches and in training. He has grown a lot, but he must not lose his great humility in his work and the dedication he has toward his teammates.
