Brescia-Venezia FC: post match

August 11, 2024

At the end of the match between Brescia and Venezia FC, valid for the 32nd round of the Coppa Italia, which ended with the result 3-1, arancioneroverde coach Eusebio Di Francesco and striker Christian Gytkjaer analyzed the match as follows.

Eusebio Di Francesco:
"This game should serve as a lesson for us especially for the growth of the team. The result of the first half did not reflect what we created and the opportunities we had to score. In the second half the goal cut us off, and it came on a bad defensive reading on our part; it will serve as a lesson for us. Certainly there were some positive things from the point of view of maneuvering, but others much less so from the defensive point of view. We worked a lot this period, they were perhaps brighter and they were better than us at materializing the chances they had."

Christian Gytkjær
“Football is like that, if we had taken the lead the game would definitely have been different, overall we did some very good things and some less so. The whole team has to improve especially in the defensive phase because we conceded goals too easily. The fans are normal that they are not happy, we are also disappointed and now we will go back to work even more intensely because we have to and want to improve. Against Lazio we have a difficult game ahead of us and we should definitely be more careful in the defensive phase and more precise in the offensive phase."
