Andrija Novakovich joins Venezia FC

Venezia FC are pleased to announce the acquisition of American striker Andrija Novakovich, 25, from Serie B club Frosinone. Novakovich has signed personal terms through the 2025/26 season.
A Serbian-American born and raised in Wisconsin, Novakovich left the States to sign his first professional contract with English Championship club Reading in 2014. He would quickly earn his first two league appearances with the club in the 2014/15 season at age 19, but his career would really begin to blossom over two loan spells in the Netherlands.
In 2017/18, Novakovich joined Dutch second division club SC Telstar and enjoyed a breakout season, scoring 22 goals in 38 total league and cup appearances. The following season, Novakovich made the step up to the Eredivisie with Fortuna Sittard and acquitted himself well, scoring 10 goals in 31 total league and cup appearances.
Frosinone moved to acquire Novakovich from Reading in September 2019, and the 1.94-meter-tall striker has registered 19 goals and 20 assists in 100 total appearances between the Serie B regular season and playoffs over the last three seasons.
At international level, Novakovich has earned three caps with the United States senior national team, all coming under manager Dave Sarachan in 2018.
