Andrea Soncin named interim first team manager

Venezia FC announce that Andrea Soncin has been appointed interim first team manager following the dismissal of Ivan Javorčić.

Soncin, 44, is the manager of the Venezia FC Primavera. He served as interim first team manager for the final five rounds of the 2021/22 Serie A season following the dismissal of Paolo Zanetti, registering one win, two draws, and two losses. He previously served as a member of Zanetti’s staff during the 2020/21 season in which Venezia earned promotion to Serie A. Under Soncin, the Primavera side are currently in fourth place in the 2022/23 Primavera 2 season with five wins, two draws, and no losses.

Soncin’s staff will include Alessandro Turone (Second Coach), Maurizio Peccarisi (Assistant), Gilberto Voltolina (Assistant), Massimo Lotti (Goalkeeper Coach), Francesco Cavedon (Fitness Coach), Andrea Disderi (Fitness Coach), and Alessio Chiarin (Analyst).

Through the first 11 rounds of the 2022/23 Serie B season, Venezia are on nine points with two wins, three draws, and six losses, which is nine points back of the final promotion playoff spot. Venezia play at Como on Sunday 6 November in Giornata 12.
