The defender Giorgio Altare, who arrived in Venice last August, spoke at the press conference this afternoon at Ca' Venezia.
Giorgio Altare:
"I came to Venice with the desire to prove myself and to give my contribution to the team including all the young teammates. The roster is built of both experienced players and promising youngsters, I am often called the 'good giant' because wherever I go I always want to make myself available to my teammates and the team trying to bring my experience, although I am still young. The goal is always to improve myself by working everyday. In my career I have played in both three and four-man defense so I play wherever the coach wants to place me.
It will be a long and challenging league, we will definitely encounter obstacles but the important thing will be to overcome them with the right mentality by facing match after match. I faced Venezia last season with Cagliari and I already considered it a strong team back then after the arrival of Coach Vanoli, this aspect also convinced me to come here. The arancioneroverdi fans, who came in large numbers at the team presentation, always support us and we are very pleased with their closeness. The change of life and work was a bit hard but now I'm fine here and I'm sure it will get better and better working every day with my teammates.“
