Three arancioneroverdi players have been called up to represent their national teams for the upcoming international fixtures, all related to qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
Icelandic midfielder Bjarki Bjarkason has been called up for two qualifying matches: on September 5, Iceland will face Azerbaijan at home in Reykjavík’s Laugardalsvöllur, while on September 9 they will take on France at the Parc des Princes in Paris.
Defender Seid Korac has been called up by the Luxembourg national team. On Thursday, September 4, the “Red Lions” will play at home against Northern Ireland, and on Sunday, September 7, they will again play at home, this time against Slovakia.
Venezia FC forward John Yeboah is heading to Ecuador, with 2026 World Cup qualification already secured. On Thursday, September 4, La Tricolor will face Paraguay in Asunción, while on September 9 they will play a big match against Argentina at the Estadio Monumental Banco Pichincha in Guayaquil.
