Venezia FC and Fondo Ambiente Italiano announce partnership

Venezia FC are proud to announce a new cultural partnership with Fondo Ambiente Italiano (FAI), the non-profit national trust for heritage conservation in Italy.

FAI, established in 1975, is organized to contribute to the restoration and promotion of significant elements of Italy’s landscape and historical and artistic heritage for the benefit of present and future generations.

The partnership is designed to leverage the popularity of football to raise awareness, knowledge, and appreciation of this important heritage, and will include a unique joint activation at Venezia FC’s historic Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo, the second-oldest stadium in Italy.

On 26 and 27 March, during the Giornate FAI di Primavera 2022 — the latest edition in a series of national events that have been held seasonally for more than 25 years — Venezia FC and FAI will open Stadio Penzo to the public for guided tours to discover the history of the 108-year-old stadium on the Venetian lagoon.

In alignment with FAI’s mission at a national level, Venezia FC’s stated mission has included a focus on advocating for the preservation and celebration of Venice’s cultural heritage through a range of recent partnerships and initiatives.
