Antoine Hainaut, Venezia FC defender
“It’s an honor for me to wear the Venezia FC shirt, the club’s growth project is very interesting; when I received the call from Director Antonelli, I didn’t hesitate for a second. Venice is a beautiful city, I had never been here before, and on top of that the Ca’ Venezia training center is cutting-edge. Arriving by boat at the Penzo Stadium is a unique experience, both for me and for my family.
Coach Stroppa gave me his trust right from the start; from the first training session he explained how he envisions my role on the pitch and encouraged me to give my best in every aspect. On the field, I enjoy both attacking and defending, and I am fully available to play in any position the coach assigns me.
Venezia is a Serie A club, even if this season it is competing in Serie B. Dropping down a division didn’t really bother me; being here in the lagoon is truly a great honor.
In Castellammare it was a tough match, the pitch and the atmosphere are unique; playing 10 against 11 for such a long time helped us find the right mentality to bring home a precious point.”
