The arancioneroverdi, led by Berta Prat Hernandez, secured their fourth consecutive victory with a 1-0 win over Trento, thanks to a second-half goal from Gismann.
Venezia FC started the game strong, threatening early with Willis and then Zuanti, whose potential opener was cleared off the line. The visitors attempted a timid offensive response but never truly troubled the arancioneroverde defense. In the 31st minute, Doneda failed to capitalize on a free kick won by Torradeflot after a fantastic solo effort. A few minutes later, Tomasi almost scored an own goal, hitting the post with a header. Near the end of the first half, Trento had a chance to take the lead: Volpatti struck a great shot from the edge of the area, hitting the post, and on the rebound, Mascanzoni’s shot was blocked by Quaglio, preventing a potential goal for the visitors.
The second half saw Venezia pushing forward again, with Torradeflot and Willis coming close, the latter heading just wide from a free kick delivered from a wide position. Midway through the half, the match heated up. In the 66th minute, Zuanti fired a strong shot, but Fenzi was well-positioned to save it. On the following play, Trento's Rosa nearly hit the crossbar after a swift counterattack. The Lionesses remained undeterred and returned with renewed offensive pressure, eventually scoring the deserved winning goal. In the 75th minute, Gismann broke the deadlock, redirecting a shot from the edge of the area by Cortesi into the net.
In stoppage time, Fenzi made an impressive save, denying Cortesi a chance to double Venezia's lead. With this victory, the Lionesses strengthened their position at the top of the table and will return to action in two weeks against Tavagnacco.
