SERIE C FEM. 24/25: VENEZIA FC-GATTEO MARE 0-0

Venezia FC was held to a draw by Gatteo Mare at the end of a "cursed" match for the arancioneroverdi, who couldn’t find the net despite numerous chances.

In the 23rd minute of the first half, Zuanti threatened with a personal move: starting from the right, she dribbled past an opponent at the edge of the box and unleashed a powerful left-footed shot that narrowly missed the crossbar. Three minutes later, Barbieri tried her luck from distance, but goalkeeper Barbierato made a precise save, deflecting the ball for a corner.
The Lionesses increased their pressure in the final minutes of the first half, looking to break the deadlock: first with an attempt by Doneda, then with a shot from Zannini, both stopped by the vigilant Parnoffi. The first half, evenly matched and hard-fought, ended 0-0.

The second half opened with a golden opportunity for the home side: Nurzia, alone in front of the goalkeeper, saw her shot saved by a miraculous intervention from Gatteo Mare’s keeper. On the rebound, Furlanis failed to finish with precision.
A few minutes later, another chance came for Furlanis: the number 47 found herself one-on-one with the goalkeeper but once again lacked the accuracy needed to convert the opportunity.
Venezia FC increased the pace and intensity of their attacking play, and in the 29th minute, they scored through Borsato. However, the referee disallowed the goal for offside, leaving the scoreline stuck at 0-0.
The match was interrupted for about 12 minutes due to a serious injury to Angeli, requiring prolonged medical attention from the staff.

In the final moments, the arancioneroverdi gave it everything they had, but Gatteo Mare’s defense held firm with determination. Despite their siege in the dying minutes, Venezia FC couldn’t find a breakthrough, leaving the match goalless at the final whistle.
