SERIE C FEM. 24/25: VENEZIA FC-CHIETI CALCIO 4-0

The Venezia FC Women return to winning ways with a decisive 4-0 victory in their home match against Chieti Calcio. From the opening minutes, the "leonesse" push forward with determination, driven by the desire to bounce back from their recent defeat to Jesina.
In the 20th minute, Torradeflot attempts a shot after an excellent exchange with Morin, but it is blocked. Just a minute later, it is Morin herself who delivers a perfect assist to Zuanti, who scores the well-deserved 1-0 with a precise volley. Riding the wave of enthusiasm, Zuanti nearly doubles her tally moments later with another volley, which narrowly misses the target.
Venezia dominates throughout, coming close to doubling their lead first with Morin and then with Nurzia in quick succession. However, in the 36th minute, the home team experiences a scare: Esposito strikes the crossbar with a dangerous free kick. Shortly after, the visiting goalkeeper performs a miraculous save on a close-range shot by Zuanti, who was brilliantly set up by Morin, closing out a first half entirely in favor of the orange-black-and-green squad.
In the second half, the script remains unchanged: Berta Prat Hernandez's players immediately go on the offensive, finding the deserved 2-0 through Nurzia, who capitalizes on a rebound from a Zuanti shot.
The visitors threaten only in the 69th minute with another free kick by Esposito, easily dealt with by Gangi. With the match firmly under control, the pace drops slightly, but in the 84th minute, Venezia strikes again: Borsato dribbles past three opponents with great determination, serves Torradeflot on the right, and her impeccable assist allows Zannini to score the 3-0 with a first-time shot.
In stoppage time, Mazis adds her personal joy, making it 4-0 by converting a precise cross from Zuanti.
With this convincing victory, the "leonesse" extend their lead to +4 over Trento and finish the 2024 league matches in the best possible way.
