SERIE C FEM. 24/25: VENEZIA 1985-VENEZIA FC 0-3

Venezia FC wins the derby against Venezia 1985 with a 3-0 victory, thanks to goals from Cortesi (brace) and Duarte.
The arancioneroverdi started the first half strongly, with a close-range shot from Borsato that forced Polonio into a save. In the 24th minute, Venezia FC took the lead.
After a quick passing move on the edge of the area, Zuanti set up Cortesi, who scored the 0-1 with a precise left-footed shot. The home side responded by coming close to equalizing through Ruggiero.
Venezia 1985’s number 31 tested the arancioneroverde goalkeeper twice, first with a shot to the near post, then with a free kick from the edge of the area, where Barbierato had to make a great save to keep the scoreline unchanged.

In the 4th minute of the second half, Berta Prat Hernandez’s team doubled their lead. A dangerous corner kick from Cortesi was punched away by the home goalkeeper, but Duarte was quick to react and slammed the ball into the net to make it 0-2.
Riding the wave of momentum, the Lionesses almost scored a third goal, first with a free kick from Cortesi that narrowly missed, then with Zuanti, who couldn’t finish past the goalkeeper in a one-on-one.
Just a few minutes later, Venezia FC deservedly got their third goal. Willis provided an assist to Cortesi, who outpaced the home defense and slotted the ball past Polonio from a tight angle to make it 0-3.
Before the final whistle, the Lionesses came close to a fourth goal twice, first with Borsato and then again with the lively Zuanti.
