Venezia FC Femminile secures a crucial victory, dominating Trento with a commanding 1-4 win on a challenging away pitch. The Leonesse return to winning ways with a convincing performance in every aspect.
Berta Prat Hernandez's side starts on the front foot, controlling possession and threatening as early as the third minute with an attempt from Cortesi. The breakthrough comes shortly after, in the 8th minute: Torradeflot sets up Furlanis, who curls a stunning shot into the far post, leaving the opposing goalkeeper with no chance.
With the score unlocked, Venezia keeps pushing aggressively and doubles their lead in the 33rd minute. Doneda plays a long pass to Zuanti on the left, who accelerates into the box and calmly slots the ball into the far post, making it 0-2.
Trento proves to be a resilient side and responds in the 37th minute with a spectacular long-range free kick that finds the top corner, reducing the deficit and setting the halftime score at 1-2.
In the second half, Venezia remains focused and strikes again just two minutes in. Torradeflot spreads play to the left for Zuanti, whose shot is parried by the goalkeeper, but Cortesi reacts quickly to the rebound and slots home the third goal for the visitors. (1-3)
The home side does not give up and attempts to get back into the game with two dangerous shots, both well saved by an alert Barbierato.
In the 72nd minute, Willis has a golden chance to seal the match, but the goalkeeper denies her in a one-on-one situation. However, just three minutes later, the Maltese striker redeems herself with a perfect header, securing the final 1-4 scoreline.
A valuable victory for Venezia FC Femminile, who bounce back with a performance full of character and quality.
