Women Serie C 23/24: Chieti-Venezia 0-4

The 23/24 Women's Serie C championship starts with a bang for the Venezia FC girls who, in their season debut, win 4-0 away on the Chieti field.

In the fourth minute immediately a chance for the guests with Tiozzo and Cortesi exchanging on the three-quarter line and, the latter, tries a conclusion on the second post but the ball ends wide. Tiozzo, a few minutes later, kicks from the edge of the area but does not find the goal.
In the 21st minute, double golden chance for the Leonesses first with a shot by Cortesi and then by Govetto, but the opponent's goalkeeper with an excellent intervention deflects it in the corner. Venezia did not give up and in the 44th minute Zuanti put the Leonesses ahead with a precise low shot to the far post, thus ending the first half with the score 0-1.

Venezia's double lead came in the first minute of the second half: personal action by Zuanti who from the left brushed a perfect assist for Govetto who scored with a splendid volley.
Coach Tatiana Zorri's girls, continued to create goal chances, also hitting a post with Doneda in the 53rd minute and often impensuring the opponent's goalkeeper.
Towards the end of the match, in the 88th minute, the excellent Zuanti triggers the action for Tiozzo, who in turn frees Grossi, who from the edge of the area dribbles past the goalkeeper and seals the 0-3 goal at the unguarded goal.
In the 45th minute Zuanti found her personal double with a powerful shot from the edge of the box that went in just wide of the post.
It ends with a sumptuous performance in the first official match of this championship for Venezia FC Femminile.
