SERIE C FEM 22/23: JESINA 1-1 VENEZIA

In their trip to Jesi in the province of Ancona, the Venezia FC Femminile took the lead but were forced to settle for a point in a 1-1 draw with hosts Jesina Calcio in Giornata 4 of the 2022/23 Serie C Femminile season.

After the two sides traded early shots off the crossbar, Venezia would take the lead in the 22nd minute, when Alice Zuanti headed in a cross from Ida D’Avino.

After the break, Jesina came out hard and found an equalizer straight away, as Giulia Oleucci hit the back of the net to level the match at 1-1 in the 48th minute.

Venezia would be the dominant side the rest of the way, with Alessia Salvi, Yasmina Laaroussi, Isabel Cacciamali, Zuanti and finally Filomena Tuia all having chances at goal, but they could not find a way past ‘keeper Chiara Generali, making the 1-1 draw a bitter result.

Venezia will return to action on Sunday afternoon hosting C.S. Lebowski at Centro Sportivo Taliercio in Giornata 5.
