January 28, 2025

A clear and important victory for the Lionesses, who triumphed 5-0 over Vicenza at the end of a match entirely dominated by the arancioneroverdi. With this win, Berta Prat Hernandez's team maintains their position at the top of the standings, increasing their lead to +9 over Sudtirol and +10 over Trento.

At the start of the game, the home team immediately pushed forward in search of an early lead, which didn’t take long to come. In the 18th minute, Duarte brilliantly converted a free kick from the edge of the box, opening the scoring. (1-0)
Less than ten minutes later, captain Zuanti doubled the lead with a masterful move in the penalty area, scoring with a powerful right-footed volley. (2-0)
The first half-hour was completely dominated by the Lionesses, who almost put the game to bed in the 35th minute with Furlanis. The number 47 for Venezia was denied a goal by Vicenza's goalkeeper, who instinctively saved her close-range header.

In the final moments of the first half, the visitors tried to reduce the deficit and get back into the match, first with a free kick and then with a dangerous deflection by Duarte, which was parried by the attentive Barbierato.
The first 45 minutes ended with Venezia leading 2-0.

Five minutes into the second half, Zuanti dashed Vicenza's hopes completely, capitalizing on Doneda’s charge forward and scoring her second goal of the match with a powerful strike. (3-0)
The third goal proved too much for Vicenza, who then conceded the fourth to Furlanis.
In the 74th minute, striker Willis joined the scoresheet with a superb volley to the far post, perfectly finishing Airola's cross from the left. (5-0 final score)
