A home defeat for Oliveira’s side, who after a hard-fought match played at a good intensity were beaten 0–2 by Lumezzane.

The opening stages were encouraging for the orange-and-black-green side: in the 1st minute Cortesi tried to catch the opposing defence off guard with a left-footed effort from outside the box that went just wide of the near post. Venice kept control of the game and in the 12th minute Mazis attempted a shot from the edge of the area, but it was weak and intercepted by the visitors’ defence. In the 17th minute, following a corner kick, a loose ball fell to Landa, whose effort went off target. Just when the first half seemed set to end goalless, Lumezzane took the lead in the 40th minute: the visitors were awarded a penalty, Pinna stepped up, Beka guessed correctly and got a touch to the ball but could not prevent the 0–1 goal that sent the teams into the break.

After the interval, the Lionesses returned to the pitch with great determination. In the 47th minute a golden chance for the equaliser arrived: a fine one-touch move saw Zuanti go one-on-one with Lonni, attempt the dribble, but the goalkeeper managed to intervene. In the 51st minute Landa tried her luck from distance, but Beka saved confidently. In the 62nd minute Doneda struck first time from the edge of the box, narrowly missing the post. The hosts kept pushing and in the 65th minute built a long passing move that led to Cortesi shooting from the edge of the area, the effort deflected out for a corner. Venice’s pressure, however, did not pay off, and in the 80th minute Lumezzane doubled their lead: from a throw-in a scramble developed in the box, Beka saved the first attempt, but Zappa reacted quickest to slot home the rebound for the final 0–2.
