At the Taliercio Sports Center, Matchday 10 of the Women’s Serie B takes place, with the home side Venezia FC hosting Bologna. The rossoblù, wearing all white today, return to Emilia with all three points; nothing doing for Oliveira’s team who, after ending the first half two goals down, concede heavily in the second half and leave defeated.
Bologna take the lead immediately in the 2nd minute with Giai, who does well to find space in the middle of the box and head the ball into the net. Venezia show themselves near Lauria in the 20th minute, but Cortesi’s attempt is blocked. The Lions try to build up play, but in the 35th minute the visitors double their lead again through Giai. The arancioneroverdi react, and two minutes later Zuanti receives the ball outside the box, drives forward and shoots, but Lauria saves. The first half ends 0–2 for Bologna.
The second half begins with a fine save from Beka in the 48th minute, who pushes Fusar Poli’s shot out for a corner. In the 54th minute Bologna score their third with a tap-in by Jansen, who repeats the feat a few minutes later for the 0–4. In the final minutes Bologna continue to push and find first Re’s goal, then Jansen again—completing her hat-trick—making it 0–6 after a rebound from Beka. Deep into stoppage time comes the seventh goal, signed by Tironi. After the break, which will be useful to recharge, the Lions will visit Frosinone.
