In the ninth round of the Women’s Serie B, Venezia FC visited ACF Arezzo at the “Bruno Nespoli” Field. Mister Oliveira’s Leonesse returned to the lagoon without points, a consequence of a match played with intensity but little accuracy in the final third; the home team took full advantage, scoring one goal in each half.

The orange-and-black-green side started strong, with Ballo first and Furlanis later coming close to opening the scoring. The home team showed signs of danger in the 30th minute, but Razzolini’s header went wide. In the 33rd minute, Ballo tested Verano again; the game’s pace was lively, and in the 35th minute, the deadlock was broken: a long vertical pass from Arezzo found Tamburini, who beat Beka to make it 1-0. Venezia came close to equalizing a minute later when Zuanti, set up by Lamti, shot just wide. In the final moments of the first half, Arezzo threatened again through Lorieri and then Razzolini, but the score remained 1-0 at halftime.

In the second half, the Leonesse stepped up to chase an equalizer: in the 47th minute, Gismann headed wide, and in the 66th minute, Doneda had a long-range chance from the three-quarter line, but missed. Venezia continued to build play, and in the 83rd minute, Furlanis’ corner found Zuanti at the far post, but the Arezzo captain couldn’t find the target. In the final minutes, Arezzo sealed the match with a long-range shot from Corazzi, making it 2-0. Venezia’s next match is scheduled for Sunday, 23 November, at Ca’ Venezia against Bologna Women.
