Noah Baudouin: “I came to Venice to refine my game”

April 6, 2023

Born in 2004, French defender Noah Baudouin joined the Venezia Primavera team in July 2021, then signed his first professional contract, and became its captain this season. Author of 2 goals and an assist in 21 appearances, Baudouin also got to make his debut with the First Team in the 22/23 Coppa Italia.

"My passion for football exploded as early as the age of four, starting in my city's soccer schools, then moving to Orléans before facing trials for Venice. The lagoon experience has been incredible so far, I feel I have achieved some small milestones, the first steps in my career. I am very proud of what I have built so far, especially because here in Venice we are encouraged to interface with the First Team frequently. Coach Soncin's guidance is crucial in our daily work, and having the opportunity to spend even five minutes with players of the caliber of those in Venice is a unique learning opportunity for us.

Wearing the captain's armband is a great honor, I feel the responsibility and I feel the trust that my teammates and the coach put in me to give me this assignment. Arriving in Italy, I learned a lot about an enormously different way of playing football from that of France: as a defender, I had to hone my technical skills to respond to the very tactical way of playing the leagues in this country.”
