H-FARM International School has launched a two-year, English-language high school program designed for Venezia FC’s Under-19 players on the Ca’ Tron campus, the largest campus in Europe where innovation meets education.
From the 2021/22 season, Venezia FC has initiated a strategy of internationalizing its Primavera team, which now features players from around the world. In addition to supporting their physical, technical, and tactical development, Venezia FC have partnered with H-FARM to support these players’ educational development based on a high-level international curriculum that is designed to balance their time between sport and study.
The international players of the Primavera team will live on the H-FARM Campus, sharing the boarding spaces as well as the sport and educational facilities with fellow H-FARM International School students.
“This is an important joint investment,” explains Riccardo Donadon, CEO and Founder of H-FARM. “On the one hand we are happy to support Venezia FC in its ambition to grow the team of the most iconic city in the world. On the other hand we strongly believe in the school-sports binomial, places of growth and training that are fundamental for the younger generations. We want to support athletes in the best possible way so that they can express their sporting potential without giving up high quality education, which is increasingly essential for those who see sport as a profession.”
“We are very excited to be able to provide our young players with this rich experience in an important stage of their development,” said Ted Philipakos, CMO of Venezia FC. “H-FARM is a trailblazing institution, playing a leading role in imagining a future of possibilities for young people in this region and beyond, and Venezia FC are proud to be developing a broad partnership with H-FARM that is founded in shared values and vision.”
The H-FARM International Sport Academy allows the student-athletes to receive a top-notch education while still free to reach the facilities of Taliercio for training. They will be part of the H-FARM school community, which will also be featured on the jerseys as main sponsor. The educational path built for the student-athletes is designed to adapt to the needs of the sport by identifying subjects and schedules compatible and consistent with the sport.
The program's first class, consisting of 22 students, began recently on the H-FARM campus.
