Ciervo: "The win in Ascoli gave us great confidence."

Despite the league break, Venezia continue to train at Centro Sportivo Taliercio ahead of the next match, which will see them face Como on Saturday, April 1, at 2:00 pm.
Riccardo Ciervo analyzed the team's current state, sharing his expectations for the upcoming fixture.

"The match against Ascoli really gave us great strength and confidence in our means, we know we are a team with potential. We are facing the league break with confidence, training with great intensity, as always of course, and we are looking forward to taking the field against Como. Our duty from now to the end of the season is to perform our best at all times, regardless of whether we start or come on from the bench. We have to be a team in the true sense of the word as our coach is asking, fighting for each other; I'm sure that this way the results will come.

I came through the youth ranks at Roma, where I was a teammate of Tommaso Milanese, who I have found with great pleasure here at Venezia. The Roma Youth Academy has given me a lot, and the thing that has stayed with me the most was the training camp with Mourinho, a great learning experience. In the Youth Academy I was playing in a more advanced position, while now I am adapting as a center back. I’m doing well, I see myself in the future in this role and I’m happy about it, although it's the first time for me."
